Case.jpgCase IH Agriculture was honored Tuesday with a Silver Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers for its Robo-Sharpener. The Robo-Sharpener was designed especially for Case IH True-Tandem 330 Turbo vertical tillage equipment.

The device is touted for its ability to quickly sharpen the wavy implement blades used to penetrate the soil and cut crop residues in minimum tillage. It's mounted directly to the gang of the implement during sharpening.

Dale Simpson, a Case IH representive, talked with us about another ASABE award winner, the company's precision disk row unit. The parallel-link row unit is designed for accurate seed placement and depth across a range of soil and field conditions, Simpson said.
