  In the fifties the top rate was around 90% without all the deductions the rich have today, if you buy the ignorant nonsense some people are bleating "eating the rich" then the rich were being feasted upon and doing very well.  They had very close to balanced budgets in those times, Ike fought the Dem's who wanted to increase military spending, increased social security to people who were left out before.  Today the ignorant parrots who call themselves conservatives whine bleat scream and yell hysterically at the idea of cutting military spending and believe SS has to be ended. Go figure.

   This is a period of ignorance and mindless squawking and bleating, in between America has Talent and spectacles of grown men playing games with balls and TV glorifying red neck goofiness.  So it goes.
