Re: the generals

2 groups that I can personally recoint. One being VN vets. Used to speak only or almost exclusively about MIAs and the poor reception that they had heard of others of them having received. Only just recently have my classmates, friends and relatives who served are actually talking about the war. 


And those among the rest of us who us who have taken the (long and exceedingly difficult and arduous) time to watch the recently aired Burns documentary. Any number of people have told me that they recorded it and after viewing the first two had to give themselves a week or so between watching each of the subsequent episodes. But discussing (talking about) it incessantly.


VN vet Classmate at my recent reunion told me he hated watching. But did and said it was highly accurate from his perspective. It wasn't the show he hated.
