I recently purchased a farm that I intend to establish about 40 acres of rotational paddocks along with some new perimeter fencing. Part of the area is subject to infrequent flooding and there are a lot of deer in the area as well (at least for the time being
).
I have traditionally built 5 barb fencning on all of our farms. However, i'm wondering if high tensile fencing would be a better choice. I like the idea of inline tensioners that can be adjusted as the fence stretches. My questions are:
1. How does cost of high tensile fence compare to 5 barb fencing?
2. Would one or the other be any better during high water events?
3. Would deer be less of a problem with either one or the other/
Thanks in advance.
