Has anyone ever heard of this? I attended a seed fair last night and was visiting with a Rep. about utilizing some cover crops after wheat. The longer we talked, he got side tracked on a topic he kept referring to as fallow syndrome. If I understood him correctly, he claims it is a result of your ground going to long without producing a crop that all the biology of the soil just shuts down. Claimed that it really tied up P in the soil to the point that it would be unavailable for the next crop. Any thoughts?
