Can someone tell me why the corn is shorter then normal this year. I believe you call them "internodes" the space between the collars is shorter then the average year. I was wonder if stress did that early in the growing season
I'm 5'10" and the corn is shoulder high to me and has 3 leaves to unwrap and then the tassel. This is the shortest corn I've ever seen. except in the drought year of 2002 that corn burned up and fell over.
not that bad yet this year.
