Too much rain

Here we are staring Oct. 1 in the face.  Had 2.2 inches Monday am and 1.2" last Friday.  The earliest beans are yellow now and dropping leaves.  A good 6" of water was in about 30 acres of low ground Monday evening.  Nice alfalfa a foot high looks beat to death.  This will be the 1st year since the late 70s I won't be combining anything in September.  70% chance of more rain today.   What a year IF we could have moved all this back to June to mid July.  IF   Most of the corn is green as grass yet.  Looks like a long drawn out harvest.  I hate thinking back to the old days of finishing after the ground froze up.  It will be a joyous day when this year is wrapped up.
