Thanks Kay. This is the last pic I took of him. He bought the tractor new in 72, we just finished refurbishing it for him. He had no idea and even asked who's it was when we drove up! That is his favorite piece of machinery!

Very nice story tree fmr.  I've got a neighbor that did that very same thing last fall for his dad.  The family held a community birthday celebration for their dad that was turning 90.  The first tractor this gentleman ever purchased brand new had been sitting in the barn for nearly 40 years, but they had it completely restored and regifted it to him at the party.  Almost brought the crowd of over 100 to tears, honestly it is moments like that which stick in your memory.

So true! My Grampa bought his F20 new in 36, one owner tractor thru 2012! We had it running for his 100th birthday and each year after, all original down to the hitch pin and oil can. He passed last december at 103. We led the funeral persession with it. This is what we remember as " the good ole days"!!!

Some random pictures of the farm.  All barns are over 100 years old!  Yes they need a lot of tender loving care, still structurally sound and gives me plenty of work when I retire in a couple of years!
