Faust- 2 recent farm sales. The number of farm sales and the number of farms even for sale have dropped down by a huge amount in 2013. I think the people who wanted to sell did it at the end of 2012 because of that possible Capital Gains issue. It really is a sellers market this year so far. Anyway, 2 sales, the Story County farm was a good farm with Class A soils. The Grundy County farms were high to middle Class B dirt. Except Tract 3, that was a junk farm with a 40 CSR, suprised that even brought $4,100/acre. Listed below:
