Fertilizer prices

[ Edited ]

Its too bad we have to pay a ridiculous price for fertilizer prices.  I usually use liquid at planting, I'm going to apply  20 Lbs less then I did last year.  According to my soil test I have 20lbs out there in the field already.    Before the close on 12-27  the new crop bid at Coop is 5.49/bu.    That is below break even on some of these acres already, using 10 year yields.    I was told the other day that it cost $86/ton to produce a ton of Anhydrous

I got another question, what do other guys use for their Lime source,   Pell Lime or quick lime or the standard Ag Lime?

I was told that Pell LIme gives you a more steady release of lime, instead of the spike you get with availability from Ag lime
