Say Faust, not sure if I posted the Iowa sales, but it is below. Look at the South Dakota sales price, over $9,000/acre. That seems pretty high for SD Land don't you think? That is getting up to the level of low-class 2 Iowa soils of $9,000 to $10,500/acre. Class 2 dirt is around the 60 to 68 CSR range. This is the one bad thing about having a farm operation, to get to the lowest COP (Cost of Production) per bushel, it requires you to tie up so much money in land.
