Just saw a report across our newswire about a big bank saying that farm incomes in the UK will likely plateau in 2013, and that farmers there should "place extra emphasis on controlling their costs of production and margins."
The report also cites the weather, namely the drought, as another reason for this outlook. So, is the outlook across the pond a bellwether for what could happen in the U.S. in the coming year too, or are the factors in play there just different enough to make it an entirely different ballgame? What do you think?
