future of "industrial"ag??

Seems the trend lately is to bash conventional agriculture, or "industrial" ag as it is sometimes called.  Conventional seems to be gfalling out of favor, with "sustainable", "natural" "organic" or pick your term being viewed as better for the environment, economy, personal well being, etc.  A lot of it seems to me to be a marketing strtategy, but...  Is that where ag is headed?  whether the driver is consumer choice, coercion by activists, or force of regulation, is that the ivevitable outcome?  If so , maybe we need to adapt and change while we still have some choice, instead of being dragged kicking and screaming.  Conventional ag has been good to me, but better to be in front of the pack, rather than being run over by it.  Thoughts???   What do you see in long term?
