Everyone's needs are different, I realize, but I would hate to be without 2 way radios. I've had UHF radios for 20 years. I have my own repeater and can usually talk to anyplace within a 20 mile radius of my tower. Cell phones are fine and have a place, but for everyday communications..i.e. tractor to tractor, combine, truck, pickup, shop, etc. I use the 2 ways. I farm with a neighboring farmer and we each have radios in all our mobile equipment. We probably use them a hundred times a day in the busy season. That would get old with cell phones.
