I have a remotely mounted 7000 planter unit on a frame behind the rest of the planter. The chain drive system is cumbersome and not dependable with my row spacing. My thoughts were to find a small hydraulic pump and motor to drive it off of the planter transmission. It wil drive one kinze brush meter only. I have the meter rebuilt, and while i dont have an inch pound torque wrench, my old cummins injector snap tool wont trip when i try to rotate it....so that makes the turning force(MT) under 6 inch pounds. The other advantage to this system is the fact that i wouldnt have to break the drive down every time i folded the planter for transport. (older fella here, more belly, less brain!). It would need to be a 1 to 1 ratio. looking for help from all you experts out there. Thanks.
