Re: Floor Talk August 10 (Report Day)

This is why I don't mind taking a government subsidy check.

Re: Floor Talk August 10 (Report Day)

For those of you who think things are ok.......that we have such huge crops that prices just can't go up.........

wheat   approx. 46 stocks to use, so that means 167 days supply.............

but look at these numbers

corn, 16% stocks to use.......that equals 58 days

soybeans 11% stocks to use that equals 40 days

think about those numbers......and that is from usda's own data released today.........

you really think these numbers justify these kind of prices ?

just what do we have to do to get into positions of profit ??

a weeks worth ?

I've said this before.........The complacency of the market place is astounding.

Can you even imagine what kind of explosion happens when there is a real shortage the next time around?

4. NASS

5. Lack of Accountability to the Markets

Re: Floor Talk August 10 (Report Day)

Usda does not have any info the public doesn't have.
What they have is the press.
Every part of our media looks to government for all the answers and most of the questions.
It's so much easier when the unresearched easy answers are delivered regularly from a high and unquestionable source.
Watch or read any media source and there is nothing but federal worship. It's no wonder our representatives can't say no to anything.

Russia hacked not only the report but the automatic trading computers. Now they're going to get themselves some cheap feed. That putin is a shrewd son of a gun.

Re: Floor Talk August 10 (Report Day)

USDA says 169.5 so lets all destroy 10% right now. If USDA is right that would cut production from 14.1 billion to 12.7 billion. If USDA is wrong and yield is 160 pruduction would be closer to 12.0 billion. Either way this year's crop should be worth a lot more and they would have to bid for next year as well.
