That's what happens when a majority of the cabinet has strong linkage to the oil industry.

as Gomer Pyle would say.............surprise  surprise  surprise

interesting, they want to increase  ethanol in fuel in the summer....we have run into problems of vapor lock, when it's really hot and

ethanol fuel.....moonshine evaporates at the higher temps.

Haha Carl Icahn is squealing ... with delight. He made something like $126 million yesterday when his company's shares jumped after the news.

Did he cash out?  Or is it a paper gain?

Regardless of cash or paper gains by Icahn, the whole source of the rumor/story yesterday needs to be investigated by the proper authorities.  Somebody started it, somebody reported it, it affected the markets, and it was supposedly false information.  If Icahn started it, and especially if he made money from it, then there should be some consequences.  If Icahn made $100 million, somebody lost $100 million.

Re: Floor Talk February 28

Happens in the grain markets every week...

It is just a competition to see whose story will stick.

The main information learned is "which way did the market want to go" and that determines which story sticks

There is no proof that is actually what moved the market other than someones speculation.

Good question is what is moving the market now and why is kcwheat leading the way..... must not be an ethanol story.
