At the close:

The Dec. corn futures contract settled 2 1/4 cents higher at $4.53. The Nov. soybean futures contract settled 7 cents lower at $13.07. Dec. wheat futures finished 7 1/4 cents higher at $6.53 per bushel. The Dec. soymeal futures settled $2.40 per short ton lower at $409.20. The Dec. soyoil futures closed $0.10 lower at $42.24. 


In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil is $1.24 per barrel lower, the dollar is higher and the Dow Jones Industrials are 44 points lower.

At 10am:

Corn turns higher.

 

The Dec. corn futures contract is now trading 3 3/4 cents higher at $4.54. The Nov. soybean futures contract is trading 1/2 of a cent lower at $13.14. Dec. wheat futures are 8 cents higher at $6.54 per bushel. The Dec. soymeal futures are $0.60 per short ton higher at $412.20. The Dec. soyoil futures are $0.01 lower at $42.33. 


In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil is $1.51 per barrel lower, the dollar is higher and the Dow Jones Industrials are 48 points lower.

At 8:40am:

--USDA announces Monday that Mexico bought 197,000 mt of U.S. corn for 2013-14 delivery.

--S. Korea miller buys 68,000 mt of optional-origin corn for February delivery.

--China imports 6.37 mmt of corn, in August. That is up 44% from a year ago. And, 5.1 mmt of those imports came from Brazil.

The Dec. corn futures contract opened 1 cent lower at $4.49. The Nov. soybean futures contract opened 3 cents lower at $13.11. Dec. wheat futures started 1 cent higher at $6.47 per bushel. The Dec. soymeal futures settled $0.10 per short ton higher at $411.70. The Dec. soyoil futures opened $0.20 lower at $42.15. 


In the outside markets, the NYMEX crude oil is $0.53 per barrel lower, the dollar is higher and the Dow Jones Industrials are 12 points lower.

Early calls: Corn is seen 1-2 cents lower, soybeans 3-5 cents lower, and wheat 1-2 cents higher.

Trackers:
Overnight grain, soybean markets=Trading mostly lower.
Crude Oil=$0.08 per barrel lower.
Dollar=Higher.
Wall Street=Seen trading higher, following positive manufacturing news out of China.

World Markets=Asia/Pacific stocks were mixed-to-lower, Europe stocks mixed-to-lower.
