Is Mother nature still at it?

Last year we were recovering from a 8" heavy snow that broke down numerous budding trees and shrubs. The snow fell on Mar21st,the first day of spring and a first for that heavy, and that late of a snow.We had standing water all over before the snow and about may before that was all gone. This year below normal rain since Christmas,no water standing since 15th jan.but colder than a witches wish! Makes one think if crops are going to be well off of schedual.(Funny thing is Nov.and Dec rainfall was obnoxious.)
