MN corn yields..........

156 last year.........USDA has 156 penciled in this year.......

seems to be a lot of "hot air" coming from that part of the corn belt...........even some thinking they raise the avg.........again I ask...............BETTER THAN EXPECTED COMPARED TO WHAT..........

my hands and feet are no longer inside the ride............still think we got some bullish Oct numbers coming..........

Re: MN corn yields..........

It is going to be hard to get a accurate # .  What should be asked to minn farmers - what is your yield compared to last year ?  I live in extreme SW Minn and my yields are 10-65 bu less depending where the field is at . One rain event made a 20 bu difference.I think sw minn is less than last year and the rest of the state is the same or a little more than last year.

Re: MN corn yields..........

We farm south of the twin cities and we are currently running 20bpa over our avg. but last year we were 10bpa under our avg. great yields but not a bin buster in my opinion. and we are in an area that seemed to catch rain all summer.

Re: MN corn yields..........

I farm near Tim  and the ground goes from peat to sugar sand in a few hundred feet. One farm  144 bushel on corn and 55 bushel on beans. Last year 169 on corn and 21 on beans.

Irrigated corn around 200 bushel but the sand knolls drop to almost nothing  pivot could not keep up on the sand
