MT.......Sept 18

Are you still seeing something that would indicate a frost/freeze in that time frame. Everything I see points to continued above normal temps and somewhat dry in the northern plains. Just curious if you are seeing something I am not.

Re: MT.......Sept 18

It doesn't matter if a frost happens or not beans and corn are done nere in the Northern Plains hot dry weather has pushed the crop to  a premature maturity.

I still have a lot of green beans and corn that is just denting so I'd like to see October 1st frost at earliest.

If doesn't rain here by Sept.18th frost won't matter, were toast. If it rains, we'll need at the very least till Oct.1st. to salvage what we have.

Re: MT.......Sept 18

I hope it is a better crystal ball than the one you used in early August. You know the one that said there was going to be frost the end of August (turned out it was the hottest week of the summer) and made you SURE it was going to freeze Sept. 18...... Seems to me someone scuffed at me when I said Sept. will be warm and it wouldn't freeze the end of August or in Sept....... Shhot I was even laughed at when I said the corn is catching up to where it should be, and guess what, the corn is right about where it should be for this time of year..... But I don't know anything.............

It certainly does. Mine is lively though, due to rain. But I farm the fringe

Re: MT.......Sept 18

Huge difference between dying and maturing. Wish mine was maturing, what managed to grow after the spring we had looked pretty till the last couple weeks.
