Mexican Corn

According to the SF article, Mexico has already been looking around for SA corn, even before any tariff talk started.  One quote in the article is that if the dollar strengthens due to higher interest rates and stimulus, other currencies might devalue.  Huh?  Wouldn't that be automatic?

Will this presure the corn market?  We're hearing talk but are we seeing any price declines?

What other markets are there for US corn?  We can deliver a high quality product on time and that is worth some money to some people.

I think we also need to be yelling at the DICTATOR to quit acting like a king instead of one third of our government!! He is out of control on some things!

Look at the markets.  Nothing is happening with all the talk.  Are we going to freak out every time someone puts up a new headline?

LaSalle Street doesn't seem to be phased.  So, Mexico is blustering, at this stage in the game.

Re: Mexican Corn

Here is an article with numbers for corn sales within NAFTA and how it has changed since NAFTA began.

If Mexico does shop elsewhere there will be quite a few tonnes that will have to go elsewhere.
