14" inches of snow here overnight and into today. I'm officially in panic mode. It will be gone by the beginning of next week, but will take at least 5 days of good weather to dry up. May 10th before we start.

We are at 12 inches and counting in Northern Iowa. You know it's bad when we are thinking of reviewing our crop insurance policy!!!!!!! That's beyond Panic and into the "What the HELL is HAPPENING MODE"

you are far from alone my friend
your moisture came as white fluffy stuff
ours came in the form of pounding rain
water back on the fields, just when things were getting close
if it was sunny and 70 today, planters would be rolling
we need 5-7 good drying days to pull this thing around AGAIN
still some time, that said, I dug the panic button out this AM and got it greased up

You guys are going about it all wrong.... You need to be sending them to the traders on the CBOT.
Theirs seem to be broken.

I feel your pain. My snow total here is 13 inches. I planted 220 acres corn on Mon/early Tues in s.central MN. Ground worked up good and soil temp was 60 at 4 inches. Perhaps I'll get to plant it again.

There had to be a very sharp cut-off on this snowstorm, although I own farmland in Northern Iowa, I live in the southern Twin Cities and we got less than 1 inch of snow. However, less than 50 miles due south of me in the Twin Cities, here is the snow total for there so far:
Rochester, MN 15.5 INCHES
