I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record here, but at 6:45PM locally we are already below freezing. This might very well do in what remains of the Central Kansas wheat crop.

The trade doesn't seem to care about what is going with the wheat crop for some reason. Or with any of the big 3 crops for that matter. They must think that the rains are gonna thaw it out just in time to make a bumper crop......

According to what SW has been reporting, there isn't a whole lot of wheat left south of me. Possibly some in Eastern Oklahoma, but SW Kansas and around there in Ok. & Tx. is already pretty well shot.

Don't worry . . . USDA has a big inventory adjustment coming, the bets are already being placed . . . why do you think wheat has been falling the past week? Looks like a record crop to USDA, so kinda looks like we are headed back towards $3.00 wheat, $4.00 corn and probably $9 beans. The Golden Age of agriculture is ending, it lasted 5 years, now it is time to return to the real world. Adios Amigos. John

Thank goodness the Gov. Paid us a premium price last fall to drill wheat. No one likes insurance checks, but if your going to have a disaster, might as well be during a year with favorable prices.
