Minneapolis, MN, Zero so far, but they are saying only 8 inches starting late tonight.
North-Central Iowa- My Custom Guy is trying to get some of my sold corn to the ethanol plant today before the snow starts, but zero snow so far. The corn was sold for March Delivery, but they would like it in February. Pretty unusual for them to move up a Delivery date, but there corn buyer is telling me they are having a hard time sourcing corn. The ethanol plant is in Mason City, Iowa in the heart of some of the best dirt that Iowa has, but the 40 to 50bu yield decrease from the drought is starting to make itself known now. I can only imagine what the Cash/Physical corn supply will be coming this summer. Corn may become like gold and silver in North-Central Iowa this summer because of all the end-users in the area.
