Off topic maybe but curious,
Do you really pay trucking based on bushels?
I think even before we adopted the metric system trucking was paid by the ton (2000lb).
I noticed in the article they pay by the tonne.
Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.

Here in southern Iowa everything to do with grain is "by the bushel" . Price, dock, transportation

The cost of transport is one reason why corn in the interior of Brazil can't be capitalized on in the global market. It is more efficent to feed animals in place and ship meat.
