The piles of potash are getting bigger, around the world. And the "stubborn U.S. farmers" are partially to blame, according to the Dow Jones Newswire story Wednesday.
See full story here.
So, do you view yourself as stubborn?

That's a pretty easy answer for those of us in the eastern corn belt. It has been way too wet all fall and winter long to get much of anything done, especially applying fertilizer. I would say that it is the weather that has been stubborn.
I would also consider the manufacturers of the fertilizers as being stubborn as well. Their cost of production probably hasn't risen all that much and yet they increase the price of fertilizer to the moon just because the price of corn is higher.

Maybe they are, way overpriced ! Look at the price of Nat gas to anhydrous. If grain were priced on that basis of how much can the consumer pay, the grain markets would look like the spring wheat market in 08

Now the farmers are forcing stock holders on wall street to lose money. How dare the farmer try to make a dollar at stock holders expense.
I better go buy my fritos and corn chips before the price goes up. ![]()

applied most of that last fall.
Most of the cb is "ready to plant" so to speak.
Say 85% of the total is ready.
Only areas that were to wet to get stuff done is the extreme E cb.
Perhaps the fert folks enjoyed such good times in 011, they missed the obvious last fall and failed to plan for that.

I think what the farmers really seem to be stubborn about is learning how to spell the words in the English language. I hate to beat a dead horse, but this is PATHETIC, almost every post has misspelled words. Just another example of America going down the drain!

Paktrading,
I think you have posted 3 or 4 times and all you say is that everyone on this site is misspelling words. C'mon. Say something of value. What do you trade, what is your thoughts about the market? Spelling, really,
