We got some drizzle here about 3:30 then changed to snow, just enough for a white skift. Now it's raining and about freezing out.

45 miles SW of Des Moines

Supposed to get worse after 9:00 here.  The state patrol wants everybody off the roads now.

45 minutes later it is seriously snowing here now

High wind and a little snow--- just enough for no travel and no dirt.  not bad for this much wind.

Light snow with heavy wind.  Kids are jumping around thinking no school tomorrow.

We are having western Kansas 50+ mph winds. BTW ECIN just turn on the news. Iowa is shut down. The rain/snow line is only 100 miles east of here. Many areas 8+ inches of snow. Measuring it in 50+ mph winds is an interesting proposition.

Even the wife's work place is closed till at least noon and they never do that.

It just started to rain here - up to an inch + your 50 to 60 MPH , then turning to snow 1 to 3 inchs -- for now

BTW it's thundering here pretty good ! it is Dec. isn't it ?

Least you got power.........hellva light show right before it went dark.....

Looks to be around 6 to 8 inches............as if it matters.........winds blowing so fing hard its bareground in one area and waist deep in another........

Hey whats a little snow?  Got the cows milked and the driveways all blowed out. they have already blowed back in. Just eating a little before I go back out and blow out some more. Maybe pics later.

BTW haven't you guys gone out and shecked on your little corns and beans? Good farmers check on their stock on these cold wintery days! LOL
