let's see some field shots!

[ Edited ]

Hey, all. Big thanks to Hobby, ECIN and everybody for sharing some crop pics. (Hobby, I still owe you a call!) How about everybody else? I'd love to see some shots of your fields. Post them here if you'd like and we can show the world how the crops are really doing out there, not just how the prognosticators think they're doing!

Feels like the heat may be breaking here today...how about at your place?

Re: let's see some field shots!

I am ready to start picking here in eastern North Carolina. It's raining now but supposed to clear out Wed.. Some of the big boys here have been going at it for over a week now. Yeild reports I have heard have been fair to good but nothing to brag about, 150-180 bpa hits about the avg. Wet weather this summer caused some yeild hits.

I took some pics a couple of days ago of some corn I will start picking this week. Hand shelled some ears for moisture test. Tested 20%.  My full season beans here look very good but the guys that have2013 corn.jpg2013 corn 8-26-13.jpg double crop beans are WAY behind, some finished planting the end of July. The majority of the beans here are double cropped behind wheat.

Lots of weakness in many of the fields around here.

bare dirt silly.  Actually it is a message to outer space saying "take our leader, please"
