Hostess is shutting down and liquidating..........because the bakers union decided to strike.......and company couldn't handle lost revenue........18500 without a job as of this AM.......
They are going to sell assests and brands.........
They have a plant in the city ( Indy ) and the news did a interveiw with some of the workers , they said they would be better off with NO job than to take another pay cut . Go figure
When we were building our spa, I had a problem with the Union Bosses. They kept coming by and demanding I give them work. I told them if they could do it for what I was paying my workers I would. Most of them told me to take a hike but the Fire Sprinkler Boss was so ticked off. He parked outside and when I had the sprinkler pipes delivered he was there to take pictures of me unloading all the pipe from the trailer. None of my workers wanted to help me because they were Union workers and they would get into a lot of trouble if they were caught. Crazy. Put it this way. This guy almost got cracked with one of those pipes because he kept getting in my way.
That makes you sooo happy that a business would shut down rather than pay their workers more. You want business tychoons earn vast amounts and avoid taxes but you don't want their employees to get a raise.
