Accurace is an issue for Iphone

I have yet to find an Iphone accurate where cell service is poor. Sunday, we (VFD) were called to a medical emergency and had to set up an emergency LZ for an air evac. The officer calling in the coordinates used his Iphone. It wasn't meters off. It was over 2 miles off. We heard the helicopter flying, and another firefighter called in the coordinates from an actual GPS (Garmin). The helicopter found us, and all was well, but . . .
