Making a reminder list of the electronics we are taking along on our upcoming trip and it got me to thinking of the value of what is going into our carry-ons on the plane....
Ed's Cell phone ($150)....My Driod Smart phone ($300) .....XYBoard ($725) so no laptop will be necessary.....Sony Camera...($350)....My good Canon camera and tripod ($1450)....Kindle ($200) ..that is a lot of money in our carry-ons..... $3000 in electonics!
I am not saying this as bragging....it just has me amazed at how times have changed and how much "gear" we need to bring along to stay in touch with our businesses and families back home.
And it is supposed to be a vacation!!
What electronics do you take along when you travel? Are you someone who doesn;t want any contact with the people and problems back home or are you the type (like me) who relaxes more if you can call in and make sure everything is going okay.
Our last trip with this group of farmers found that they were pretty much all like me.....they checked the farm and the markets and the weather every day! The calls back home were always the subject of dinner conversation along with what we had seen and done that day.
