One of the ways she does this is through this blog, and also her personal blog, www.Nuttygrass.com Brenda is married to Matt Frketich who has also recently started farming with her. They also have a son, Hoot, and old hunting dog, Diesel and farm dog Yukon.

Love in My Farm Life

by Brenda_Frketich ‎02-14-2015 01:37 PM - edited ‎02-14-2015 01:44 PM

It's Valentine's Day, which means that I have beautiful roses on my dining room table, I have a delicious dinner planned tonight, and I'm excited to get dressed up for a dinner at home with the four men in my life.  Yes, two dogs, Hoot, Matt and I have big plans to stay in tonight and just relax.

I have to say I'm really lucky everyday though, not just today.  I'm surrounded daily by the land that I love and I get to spend time taking care of crops that will feed people all over the world.

I am blessed to do that work side by side with my husband who I know I was meant to love for the rest of my life.

We are surrounded daily by our families, who support and love us consistently and steadfastly.  All while being able to walk our dogs on the back 50 with Hoot rolling along in the stroller.  Showing him the land that will provide endless adventures for the little farm boy.

Yes today is the day when love is a little more roses and cards, but it's that everyday love that I'm so lucky to have.  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
