Create some form of universal, non regressive health care system- poor people expend a third of their income on healthcare.

#1 way to help "working people"- similar, end punishing deductibles and co-pays and end the burden of health care as a cost of employment.

But as Jesus said, "hell with 'em. Dad helps those who help themselves."

Actually that was Benjamin Franklin in Poor Richard's almanac but it was included in the Revised American Version.

Can you think of an example anywhere on the planet.....................well actually I guess that is what all the developed countries except one already have.

Great idea. Tell all of those union workers you're going to take their health from them and then force them to pay for health care for ILLEGAL aliens that come here to help keep labor cost cheap.

Well hockey or cricket or soccer or golf or cross country skiing or baseball..........but you could always pick your own favourite sport knowing any injuries would be covered

This country has tv shows like "Hoarders" and "My 600lb Life" people are entertained with that crap and watch 6 black women talking about celebrities on a hour show.  That is basically the problem, people that weigh less than 600lbs and don`t yet have dead rats in the garbage heap in their garage feel pretty good about themselves, the bar is set low.

If poor people don`t have healthcare, well for God sakes, don`t let anymore poor people in the country!

Definitely.

Although it builds capacity, and health and economic well being rather than just stripping out society to give money to the wealthy.

I'm still fascinated by people who are dedicated to being social justice warriors for the wealthy. Often it is just lower middle class Snopesism- kick down, suck up. Make sure everybody knows you're a boot tugger.

Socialism gives all of the money to the wealthy. Then the wealthy decides who is deserving.

I'm fascinated by communist that insist there are no communist.

Without cost control, cost shifting still ensures the economy of the country implodes.    Simply enforce existing laws on monopolistic practices, price fixing and end government enforcement of monopolies and watch the cost fall.

Oh, but what you want is an outcome not a solution.
