Re: 109 in Paris

So 3020 thinks China should change.

China that produces 6.59 tonnes of CO2 per person per year.

Are they supposed to increase manufacturing so they can compete with the 15.53 tonnes that the US produces??

Re: 109 in Paris

How much does the US produce per ton of manufactured product? China is the world's largest polluter yet they have your full support. You don't care about the environment you just want to see the US economy crushed and rebuilt as a socialist country. Man made global warming hoax is what you use to further your beliefs.

If you compare using Co2 emissions per gdp China is near the bottom, the USA and Canada are in the middle.  You are however welcome to assume a peasant chinese lifestyle.

Re: 109 in Paris

There are tests and observations you can make to prove to yourself that the earth isn't flat but I'd prefer to just take that on authority and move onto something more interesting.

As far as a philosophical framework that says that only fools would make any sacrifice for the greater good, or even undergo any inconvenience, is pure Randianism.

That philosophy gained currency when the CIA Deep State sought to get her crap work- and others- more widely disseminated into schools and general circulation as a counterbalance to the popularity of many "leftist" authors.

As far as the antifa commie global warmers real agenda- to take away your right to respire- yes, I suppose.

Apparently sacrifices for the greater good can't be made voluntarily, otherwise the believers would have already done it.

That was sarcasm.

Re: 109 in Paris

Altruism not required. Self interest is.

It is a classic Tragedy of the Common deal- the common being the atmosphere and whether it is a dump, the use of which is the absolute right for the most adept exploiter of resources, and whether the vast majority of people end up being worse off for it.

There is a Randian solution for the Tragedy of the Commons- a Great Man buys it* and grazes his own sheep. The rest starve, which isn't his problem.

*or in Rand Russia, a gangster seizes it with the help of the government and only has to pay modest tribute to The Big Kahuna. That's actually a pretty venerable model, in modern form.

Why would a man graze his sheep if every body else is dead?
