It appears that these resignations are mostly symbolic. Reports suggest that none of the offended prosecutors are actually quitting their day jobs or swearing off any of their future government paychecks.

As examples of “profiles in courage” go, I’ve seen better. A genuine pity, however, that President Trump could not get rid of his entire National Security Council this easily.

When you read about how many career FBI agents were on board with trying to remove Trump from office, it really puts a new perspective on both the JFK assassination, the trail of Clinton dead bodies, etc. Maybe that many people can be so devoted that they clam up rather than become an additional corpse.
