$40K per plate

I TOLD them, not to order extra sour cream for their baked potato!

The only reason I mention this, is because Romney was in Omaha, and a Dem councilwoman headed a protest, saying Romney was only there to collect campaign contributions from the 'rich Republicans' in Omaha, but on the VERY SAME DAY, was Clooney's $40K a plate 'dinner', apparently for the poor.

Re: $40K per plate

I am sure you all understand the law on this but it is awkward to donate to a party with anonymity.  But it is easy to pay 40k for a burnt sausage and a can of pop with no repurcussions.  Please accept they all do it.

Re: $40K per plate

Of course, they do but these guys will never admit that it is wrong when their guy starts doing it.  Besides that, what will the repubs get for their money--some retired ambassador from the Ivory Coast or something instead of being able to say they had dinner with the President AND George Clooney.  The donors to the president still come from the $15 to $25 dollars from the common people in a very vast majority to the big donors.

Re: $40K per plate

Chuck Norris has endorsed Romney.
I don't know if he does the fundraisers, but I bet he could kick Clooney's butt!

If you don't belive how tough chuck is, just google 'Chuck Norris Facts'.

Re: $40K per plate

It was just a joke, but if you want a breakdown:

Clooney 'pretended' to be a soldier in some movies.

Chuck was in Vietnam, and lost a brother there.

Clooney 'pretended' to be a good fighter in action movies.

Chuck went undefeated, in the world Karate championships.

Who do you think would win?

Re: $40K per plate

I don't think they would fight. Why should they? I know I would rather have the chance to hobnob a little with Clooney and Obama than I would Romney and ryan. Besides I hate Pepsi.
