There`s a doofus running for state rep that`s running local radio ads that he has 'courage to stand up to Governor Branstad` and his incumbent opponent wouldn`t be for medical marijuana if it was grown in a steel building surrounded by razor wire`. That "medical marijuana" deal is a slippery slope to the "recreational" route, the medical deal is easier sold to the more conservative voters in this area. The doofus has alot of money from somewhere to bombard the airwaves with his goofy crap.
I would be in favor of medical marijuana IF the euphoric effects are removed or whatever effects these dopers crave. But, those that see the revenue as a cash cow to be taxed and then claim it would rid the illegal drug trade. I doubt it, the dealers selling dope out of their raincoat without taxes could under cut on price the "legally" sold dope, there`ll be no getting rid of the cockroaches short of the death penalty.
