Here is a question wcmo, given that 12% have had covid and tested another 8% at least has had it and not been tested.  We know from the diamond princess that some people have some innate immunity.  That's has to put you at least near 30% with immunity.

The vaxed population has to be near 60% while there is some overlap in those 2 groups where exactly is this herd immunity hiding?   It almost (as in exacty) like the vac helps not at all toward that goal.

The only thing missing from your data is a category that describes exactly who is dying from Covid. The demographics of the Covid dead & hospitalized are important.

Presently, the overwhelming majority of victims are older, fatter, and/or already sick individuals.* Not to be too callous, but in a country of 330 million people the loss of 680,000 folks from the least productive segments of society is not all that remarkable. It just isn’t.

Or, to be even more cold; if a country had a choice of losing 100,000 truck drivers or 100,000 social security recipients, which group would be least missed? Hands down, the Social Security  Administration (and their rapidly diminishing cash surplus) is breathing a quiet sigh of relief for how this particular pandemic is playing out right now. Such is life...and death.

I was thinking about something....when I was 12 years old and taking a fence out with my late father we heard a whizzing sound as a stray (?) bullet went by. I was too young for vietnam, never had people shooting at me, I share that with Trump, Clinton, Bush Jr, Obama and Biden.

But you don't forget the sound a bullet makes as it passes by. It makes you realize that life is a chance event. A cell can turn cancerous and take you like it did Norm McDonald. I can see Norm doing a fake news conference about how Treason is now legal ( like he did about Murder in California after the aquittal  of OJ....something that cost him his job and part of his career as the producer was a close friend of Mr. Simpsons).
