A cautionary tale
that will go unheeded.
Putting aside the source and his conclusions (an impossibility I know), look at the economic projections for the Greek economy that were put forward by the Troika when it imposed austerity on Greece.
Which brings us to the Republican move to impose Dynamic Scoring on CBO. You can find economists to produce a a study that says most anything you want and if all it is is a means to get your agenda passed, OK. But it might actually have consequences.
Kansas, anyone?

Re: A cautionary tale
Obama is 50% in the polls now, how big of a leap would it really be for this country to elect a card carrying communist?

Re: A cautionary tale
Ya know, BA, if Iowa immediately abandoned the caucus system it might return to normal in a generation or two.

Re: A cautionary tale
well, without Iowa's okey dokey that "Obama is one of the good ones" at the caucuses, that would've arguably gave Hillary the presidency in 08. That might've been a good thing bbecause, Hillary could've been easier for Mitt to defeat....there wouldn't have had the whole "give the Negro another chance to get it right" meme.

I think McCain would have beaten Hillary. Arguable anyway, even with Palin.

Oh no, the voters were out to punish the Republicans, Jesus Christ could`ve ran as a Repub in `08 and Hillary would`ve beat Him.

Re: A cautionary tale
Poor fellers. And for no reason whatsoever.
But I'll stand by what I said. The Clintons were not nearly so rehabilitated at that point which Is why Obama beat her despite the big money and powerbrokers having most of their bets on her nose.
Which I know doesn't square with your narrative about all the unserious folks being infatuated with the kneegrow but I'll hold my ground.
Jebbie has the same problem this time around. Perhaps ironically, should he happen to be able to buy the nomination as his brother did, he'll lose.

Re: A cautionary tale
I don`t think Hillary will be the nominee this time, but if she is and goes up against Jeb in a fair election. I don`t think Jeb will win...unless he picks a Sarah Palinesque VP candidate...I don`t think he has it in him. Well look at my hot button issues...Guns?...both Jeb and Hillary will sign all gun control on their desk....Judge selection?...big deal, every federal judge that screws us, the left is quick to remind us "oh Bush appointed that judge...oh the judge was a Reagan appointee" ....amnesty? Jeb and Hillary will sign any amnesty that reaches their desk...Climate change? both of `em believe the fairy tale...the only difference is Jeb might go a little easier on taxes...well, I don`t care, it doesn`t look like i`ll be making any real money for the rest of the decade anyway 🙂
