Why does a good 'christian nation' not look out for these poor people who can not afford rent and utilities?

I do.

And what about your good christian nation?

You certainly are not going to look after very many on your own.

We are a secular nation started by people with a Christian belief. We are also the most charitable nation on earth.

When you elect people who make no religious statements We will know you are secular.

As long as your politicians have to pray and display their religion to get elected it is not secular except in name.

Yes you can claim to be the most charitable IF you pick the stats you wish to look at or compare others too.

And how much of that 'charitable' donations is to the business of religion?

If you look at lots of stats like per capita or GDP you do not sit on top.

Like the bible there are many ways to look at a topic and like charity they do not all show the same answer.

For example

http://www.crossborderdirectory.org/which-countries-give-the-most-to-charity.html

In reality, it is very difficult to judge which countries are more generous. There are so many different methods of looking at it, and it is difficult to say which one more accurately reflects which countries are more generous when it comes to donating to charity.

Secular people pray every day. We are a secular nation because we have a government that does not force anyone into any religion nor does it force anyone out of any religion. It's called freedom.
