But when you teach the truth you do not have to sell anything.

Give them facts and then let them do with the facts what they will.

When you are selling something that has no facts to back it up you have to be a salesperson.

Re: Re:Crock of Wet, Steaming Manure

You're one that should be leaving.  You hate it here and everyone that disagrees with you so you should be leaving and as for tax payers, I certainly pay taxes so I would imagine we could all do without your money.

Talk about a rant!!  You are still seething from the defeat.  I noticed you mentioned that a little more religion would help solve the problem.  It never worked last time.  The god is now Obama so get on your blessed knees and pray your g-ts out.  It is far too late to make excuses as to why the GOP failed.  The irony is you all can see it so clearly now but not one of you bottom feeders could see it 2 months out of the election.

Re: Good Analysis Milligan

Good points. I think Bruce , like the rest of us, tends to see what he wants to see and disregards the rest ( Thanks, Paul Simon!). Just like the good father that drives his teenage daughter to the abortion clinic thinking he is going to make her life better and doesn't know the hell he just condemned her to spend the rest of her life in. Lots of liberals like that good father, too, and I am sure they mean well. They just don't seem to have a very good grasp on the world and the wake that their actions create.

How about those beefies, Bart?

Finally paying taxes on the ones you sell, or still declaring a tax loss every year? What about the tax free ones that you said you and yours eat?

Re: Good Analysis Milligan

No sure how you could think that that sort of a decision is simple for anybody.  Been there. Not a family member but someone very close and  it was handled very poorly by one of the involved parties  and it left a long and bitter tail.

That was a piss poor analogy Red.  Lots of things people can disagree on and yet the  numerous assumptions that people who disagree often make without knowing much of the realiies of the other's or anyone else's experiences and circumstances often cloud what could be a good discussion.

You do it.  Ido it.  Nearly everyone does.  And the people who don't generally keep to themelves.

Re: How about those beefies, Bart?

Since ours was a very small operation, all business was rolled into our income tax and not separate.  I assume you mean cattle when you say "beefies".  I never fed out any cattle as we were strictly a cow/calf.  I never tasted any beef that I raised and I never said that I did.  Most years we did operate at a loss mainly because I am still paying for part of the farm, but won't this year because I sold all my cattle and will have to pay the income tax on that which I am quite willing to do.
