Re: A simple way to test Lev's claims

That”# entertaining.

And the last thing on earth that you’d want. All of that would leave a result and a layer of political residue. If you have any hope for the future of the (abstract and convoluted) politics you profess to support, it lies in all of that crap hovering in the ether, sharing virtual files with a list of alarming incidents and atrocities composed over time.

That will keep you winning Confederate Senate seats and welfare addicted flyover House races.

Re: A simple way to test Lev's claims

My guess is that a claim of executive privilege would end up before the full SCOTUS.

Then we'll find out just how screwed we are.

Re: A simple way to test Lev's claims

This Parnas thing We’ve never really seen anything like what he’s doing. He and God and everybody else knowing that he’s quilty of everything suspected and charged for. But an object or victim, that said, of what he sees as a deep, deep betrayal. With, of course, a bright enough light shining on everything that it deflects any concerns about his personal safety.

Maybe the best comparison would be Joe Valachy.

I doub’t they’ll be able to bring in his Brother from Sicily and set him in the back and get the story changed

Re: MaCarthy

No you could most certainly not claim executive privilege to avoid removal by the senate.

Re: MaCarthy

Executive Privilege to block witnesses.

As already employed.

Moscow Mitch will move heaven and earth to short circuit it before it gets there, and probably will win.

Duffey, Pimpeo, Giuliani, Bolton.

Re: MaCarthy

Several first hand witnesses who would either have to perjure themselves or place the Senate in a very uncomfortable position as it exonerates.

Everybody knows that, some just have more urgent priorities.

The House should`nt have been in such a hurry and sloppy and called all these "Bombshells".  Too bad so sad.

Swing and a miss.  The Senate can proceed as it likes.  That is not the executive claiming priviledge.

Re: MaCarthy

You are being deliberately disingenuous.

You are probably correct that Moscow Mitch and St. John won't let it get there, but if they do, Dennison will claim executive privilege over those witnesses.

Which sets up another tricky piece of the game- if the Ds try to trade some witnesses in order to get the Rs to permit others, Dennison will pull the football.

Which he'll have to because he's guilty as sin. Which everyone knows, some just have more urgent priorities.
