AC required to be set to 77 in Italy
Honestly all progs should do this anyhow, if they believed that crap about climate change ending life they would all turn their ac off entirely. The US government should do the same as Italy anyhow, I think most government employees and legislators need to be used to continuous inferno type temps.

Schools and other public buildings in Italy will be forbidden from setting their air conditioning to any setting lower than 25C from next month, under a scheme intended to help the country dodge an energy crisis exacerbated by the war in Ukraine.

Re: "Progs should do this", how do you know they don't?
I know lots of people, progressives, and conservatives alike who are quite deliberate about how they use utilities. On the hand, every time one of those big tire-ed, fuel-guzzling pickups roars by festooned with a trump flag and a MAGA bumper sticker I know they're not just not conservative but foolish and selfish but I don't worry too much because I get my revenge at the gas pump, & utility bill.

"Curious as to where you keep your home set."
Thanks for asking.bruce, about 66 in the winter, but the wood stove is going all the time. 70 in the summer. Didn't even have AC until 4 years ago, never had it growing up and I like the thought of the kids being able to tell their kids of suffering through the heat and walking to school uphill both ways. AC is a double edge sword, makes it hard to go out some days.
But back to the subject, AC is not required to live, the co2 averse should not be using it unless they are just virtue signalling fakes.
