there`s a different spin that the liberal press is putting on it, that "he was beaten as a child and corporal punishment is part of the black culture".  Many of us thought it would be another nail in the NFL`s coffin.

As a kid I was spanked alot, I can`t say it did any good, because I "got away" with things that I should`ve been spanked for, but punished unfairly for things I had no part of.  One example that`s always stuck with me is, as about a 5 yr old I was in the machine shed and a cat jumped on something and fell into a tub of used oil.  just then Dad walks in a sees it and i get blamed and there was no talking him out of the beating that I was going to get.  That always stuck with me and to this day, i tend to give everyone too much chance to explain themselves...probably I`m too lenient sometimes  🙂

With our kids, we never even come close to having to punish them...not even a time out and they are wonderful kids.  i honestly wouldn`t know how to handle a wayward kid, cause thankfully I`ve only been around really nice kids.

What I think is, I used to have a bad temper and cuss alot...I`m much better now.  But they probably thought they`d rather not see me when I turn into the Incredible Hulk, so they just behaved    🙂

The one black man who wants to be involved in his childs life and tries to discipline him gets crucified for it.  But now he plays the victim card??  He should stand up for what he thinks is right.

Where do you see any press addressing that as any other than just a matter of reporting what Peterson has said? I've run across no apologism from either the left of right, other than some crackpots spouting off and getting reported on.  But editorially?  You don't seriously think that anybody is supporting that, from either political camp do you?

The Vikings have dropped the ball on this.  It is going to have a long, long tail. The state of Minnesota and the citizens of and businesss in Hennipen C0unty have just recently been extorded out of hundreds of millions for an overbuilt, obscenity of a stadium. Everyone knows that.  Even those who supported it.  Nobody, even the supporters, will actually deny that.  There was a perverse desire for it and one by one a majority closed their eyes and minds and quietly decided, apparently. that this will "work ou"t" somehow. We've got an excellent State Senator (GOP, BTW, that I've voted for every time she has run) here in this Senate District who was one of the movers on it.  Now becomes her legacy.

Maybe the league can fix this, but I wouldn't count on it.  The Commissioner is nowwhere to be found. There is really nothing uglier in modern life than watching someone of entitled high order when they actually need to deal with something serious.

Are you saying that there are no good African-Americna fathers?  That there are none who are doing a proper job of raising thier families in a loving and caring home?  That the world of African-Ameriocan existence is just and only what you see in the darkest reaches of your own mind's eye? 

This is about the brutality of leaving welts on a 4 year old kid's scrotum and justifying it as good parenting.

I'm saying that is more the rule than the exception.  Sad, black families used to be extremely strong untill the government took the place of the father.

Got a timeline on that?  A starting date or kick-off point? Say, ike some executive decision or act of Congress Some one or group of individuals who made decisions that can be directly blaed?  Or just one more thing that "everybody (AKA decent conservative people) knows"?
