Ah, the rest of us are not going along snowflakes
Connecticut is poised to commit its electoral votes to whichever U.S. presidential candidate wins the nation's popular vote — regardless of who wins the state.
By embracing the plan, Connecticut's General Assembly gave new momentum to a push to change the way Americans elect their president.
Ten states and the District of Columbia are already in a compact to pool their electoral votes and pledge them to the popular-vote winner. With Connecticut added, the compact's voting power would rise to 172 — fewer than 100 electoral votes away from the 270-vote majority that decides the presidential contest......
In addition to Connecticut, the other jurisdictions in the pact are California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington state, along with Washington, D.C.
They are doing this as part of the ongoing melt down over Hillary losing but cutting off their own nose in the process. All those states are going democrat, every time, regardless, so the only way their electoral votes goes to someone who does not actually win the state is if a republican wins the popular vote. But of course the goal is to sucker the red states into surrendering their franchise. Not going to happen.
And these snowflakes have to really hate the way our senate works.

Re: Ah, the rest of us are not going along snowflakes
it is actually quite terrifying that so many Americans that have reaped the rewards of our capitalistic freedoms now want to surrender so much to the power of a centralized state.
For every mom and pop store that gives way to a shopping mall or a family service business that sells out to a national chain, or a family farm that ceases to exist, there are that many more individuals that no longer are directly connected to capitalism. Free choice as to selecting insurance, education choices, shopping for food, clothing, appliances, etc. is still there, but you sometimes wonder for how long.
And with the schools no longer contributing to an enlightened populace but rather being stewards of socialism, the battle for the hearts and minds of the youth is a difficult one.
Maybe it all ends with people fleeing America at some point for a new enlightened capitalistic Mexico or Canada. Or maybe it just ends.
Bread and circuses........SNAP and free NFL.....history always rhymes.
