An Immigrant that Mn will "love"

well, maybe "love" is a bad word, considering the situation.

But when we have Kevin "I don't play any defense but I do pad the statistics"  leaving and hopefully the screendoor not hitting him in his ample posterior, and a guy (Andrew "Christian" Wiggins) coming in that should grow into a great role model for our youth plus actually being a superstar on the basketball court, life is pretty good.

Will believe it when I see it, but it appears that Flip Saunders is going to have the wolves winning sooner rather than later with some astute moves that he has been making, the least not being the rumoured Love/Wiggins trade. Straight up would have seemed fair, but we get Bennet ( last years number one overall too, and the 2015 number one draft choice from Cleveland. Kudos to Philip.

I have a real hard time watching the nba of today, the 80's Celtics and Lakers teams and the battles they had, had to be the hi water mark.... IMO.

Re: An Immigrant that Mn will "love"

Well, the NBA has always been very similar to all star wrestling, with the chosen teams like LA getting preverential treatment that enabled them to win against the lowly teams. I still have some footage of a game where MN outhustled, outplayed, and was going to beat Magic Johnson and his lakers, only to have the referees intervene in the last couple of minutes and hand LA the win. Seems like some things never change.

Even now, the Love trade is designed to make Cleveland and James into the team to beat, and I am sure the NBA approved the trade and how it goes around the actual rules on trading rookies just because it is going to create interest. You have to promote the stars and get them into alignment.
