Clipped from Wikipedia....Contributions to 501(c)(4) organizations are usually not deductible as charitable contributions for U.S. federal income tax, with a few exceptions.

Re: actually

Want a minute 501s do not have to provide donors names. This leaves the door wide open for lobbosts and  special interests agendas.  Perfect fit for Kochs and Soros of the world

Re: actually

The c4s dont didn't check on the others. Any campaign finance reform will always have loopholes built in to favor the powerful.

Re: actually

Agreed.  That has been a fact since the start of this "scandal".  And would add to any suspicion that there might be that this was an "O'Keefing" from the start. More news  lately about it being triggered by a "tip" from an IRS staffer.

But not sure why you chose to go there in relation to what the commenetary said..

Re: So you guys don't think

That the IRS should be looking at these fund raising collitions to see if they are operarting in a legal manner. If Karl Rove is peeling off ten millions of dollars for personal use out of his pac, then the IRS shouldn't know that? If the revenues are misused in any manner should IRS have the right to know?

How much of that gifting to such groups passed off as a business expense by the Koch bros or others. Do you think adelson gave 50 million to Gingrich and didn't look for a loophole to expense it?

I thionkallsuch funds should be audited every year regardless which party to make sure they are in compliance witrh the rules.

Re: So you guys don't think

I think the IRS should be abolished, all their former employees sent to live with you.

At a minimum we should just have a flat tax, write down your net multiply it by x, there ya go.

Optimally, there should be no tax whatsoever except in the form of users fees.

Re: So you guys don't think

A business has to be able to deduct the cost of creating a product or service.

100% agree. Sick of the government using the IRS as a club over the head. Should be a 100 or so go to jail. To Obama it is just another tool to use for his gain and guys like Bruce are secretly cheering, jumping up and down, screaming yeehaw.
