Another MI OH border war?
over the MI order to shut down Line 5, even though none of the line crosses OH territory. Apparently they think the oil won't get to Lake Erie if the 50 year old line fails. They are wrong, and a mostly closed body of fresh water is a whole 'nuther deal if there was a major spill.
Anyway, the 1835-36 war is generally regarded as a military stalemate. In the settlement, OH got the disputed Toledo strip but MI was given the northern piece of the WI territory as compensation.
Speaking of which, and general matters of historical and geographical ignorance (often via motivated reasoning).
Did anybody see the Hannity piece where he's going on about how there aren't even that many precincts in MI? Behind him is a map with the UP labeled "Canada."
