You have to admire the ingenius way that TYson managed to get a tax deduction for the bribes.

 

We had something similar in MN where a governor candidate got $10,000 a month disquised as a "consulting fee".

 

Everyone wants a tax deduction, except those that don't pay taxes.

I did notice that she said they were broke when they left the WH and most of the money the author talks about has been made since they left.  I don't know about the book deal but since he is a little confused on his wording, I would have to another source.
